CodeYear

LOCAL-FIRST · ANNUAL CODE REPORT

A year of git history,
turned into a report that's yours.

Reads your local .git and produces a bilingual HTML report, a 2400×3200 poster, a full-length image, and a GitHub profile card. Works with private repos, offline machines, and work laptops; the default mode has no sign-in and no upload.

Why this exists

A yearbook for developers

Official Wrapped reports usually cover public data and require authorization; most of our code lives in private repositories, company intranets, or Gitee. CodeYear reads .git on your machine, so private projects can appear too.

What you get

Report / poster / long image / profile card
01Year over year

Cover summary plus a 10-metric table and 12-month grouped bars in the data section.

02Private repos count

Reads local git, filters by your email/name, uploads nothing.

03Bilingual

Generates both Chinese and English HTML from the same data.

04GitHub profile card

Light and dark SVGs, switched automatically with <picture>.

05Daily updates

Ships with a GitHub Action that updates the card and README every day.

06Local-first

The default mode makes no network requests; public GitHub mode is opt-in.
